The statement says that Gligoric and Dujovic were arrested on suspicion of abusing official position and adds that the arrest was carried out in cooperation with the Belgrade District Prosecutor’s Office.
During 2005 and 2006, the suspects invested funds of the public company Official Gazette, worth nearly RSD 180 million, by closing harmful simultaneous deals on issuing bills between the C Market and Eko Product 2002 companies, without the Serbian government’s approval.
They invested the funds without ascertaining the existence of a debtor-creditor relationship between C Market and Eko Product 2002, as well as without providing adequate security, although they knew that the bills cannot be charged.
Therefore, they inflicted damage to the Official Gazette worth RSD 180 million, concludes the statement.
