The Ministry of the Interior said today that since the beginning of 2025, members of the Anti-Corruption Department of the Criminal Police Directorate have filed criminal charges against 525 individuals for corruption-related and economic offences, causing total damages exceeding RSD 4,821,000,000.

Among those arrested were public officials, holders of power in local self-governments, directors of public enterprises and responsible persons at businesses.
These results demonstrate that the state has the capacity, expertise and determination to systematically suppress corruption and white-collar crime, and that cooperation between the police and relevant prosecutor’s offices is at a high level.
The Anti-Corruption Department of the Criminal Police Directorate will continue its efforts to combat corruption and economic crime, the statement added.
