The Ministry of the Interior announced today that members of the Anti-Corruption Department of the Serbian Police have filed criminal charges against 657 people for 506 corruption and economic crimes since the beginning of this year.

The mentioned crimes caused damage in the total amount of RSD 5,683,184,421.
Also, in the mentioned period, the Anti-Corruption Department received a total of 2,351 requests from the competent prosecutor’s offices.
These results show that the state has the capacity, knowledge and determination to systematically suppress corruption and economic crime, while the cooperation of the police with the competent prosecutor’s offices and other state bodies is at a high level.
