Serbian Foreign Minister Vuk Jeremic will be in New York on October 7, where he will lead the Serbian delegation at the plenary session of the UN General Assembly.
According to a statement issued by the Foreign Ministry, Jeremic will present the proposed resolution at the session by which Serbia seeks from the UN General Assembly to consult the International Court of Justice (ICJ) for an advisory opinion on the legality of Kosovo’s unilaterally declared independence.
On October 8, at the plenary session, representatives of 129 UN member countries will vote on Serbia’s resolution.
A majority of the countries must vote for the resolution in order for the ICJ to be consulted, concludes the statement.
