The Serbian Statistics Office has said that the average gross salary in the Republic of Serbia in August 2008 amounted to RSD 46,222, up by 0.23% in nominal terms and 0.13% in real terms against the previous month.
The average take-home salary in August stood at RSD 33,131, which is a rise of 0.22% in nominal terms and 0.12% in real terms against the average salary in July 2008.
Compared with the same month in 2007, the August gross salary rose 17.61% nominally and 5.39% in real terms.
Compared with the August 2007 average, the August net salary rose 17.72% nominally and 5.48% in real terms.
The average gross salary paid out in Serbia in the period from January to August this year, compared to the average gross salary in the same period in 2007, is nominally up by 19.13% and by 4.23% in real terms.
The average net salary in the period from January to August 2008, compared to the average net salary in the same period in 2007, is nominally up by 19.24% and in real terms by 4.32%.
Compared with the same month in 2007, the August gross salary rose 17.61% nominally and 5.39% in real terms.
Compared with the August 2007 average, the August net salary rose 17.72% nominally and 5.48% in real terms.
