Bogdanovic explained that the new text of the resolution must emphasise the continuity of state policy toward the province, while differences between the government and the opposition must be brought down to the lowest possible level.
He confirmed that the government intends to draft a joint text of the resolution acceptable to all.
On September 8 the government withdrew the proposed resolution from the agenda of parliament’s special session.
Serbian parliament speaker Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic stated that following a meeting with party whips on September 16, the Minister for Kosovo-Metohija scheduled first consultations for today at 2:30 pm.
Djukic-Dejanovic announced that one of the upcoming parliament sessions may be devoted to the continuity of state policy toward the province, which will be conditioned by a consensus of parliamentary parties.
