Talks on problems of Serbs in Kosovo to continue

Belgrade, 12 September 2008

Serbian Minister for Kosovo-Metohija Goran Bogdanovic resumed today technical talks with UNMIK Chief Lamberto Zannier.

The Ministry says in a statement that also present at the meeting were representatives of Kosovo Serbs, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Interior.

The meeting looked at the issues of the judiciary, police, usurped property of Serbs in Kosovo-Metohija, kidnapped and missing persons, as well as transport of humanitarian aid and the distribution of medicines in the province.

Both sides stated their stances on the lives, work and problems which Serbs in Kosovo are faced with.

They agreed to continue the talks at the technical level and determined the dynamics of future meetings which will be held with the aim of reaching agreement and finding comprehensive solutions to the problems of Serbs in the province.
