According to a statement issued by the Ministry for Kosovo-Metohija, Congress representatives earlier spent time in Kosovo to gather information about the conditions in which Serbs live and work in the southern province, and held talks with representatives of local authorities, the UN and Albanians in order to get a broader picture of the reality on the ground.
Speaking to Minister Bogdanovic, Congress representatives sought support for drafting an objective report on the situation and position of Serbs in Kosovo.
The report will contain not only a description of the situation, but also recommendations for solving key problems that Serbs in Kosovo are faced with. The report will be presented to the US Congress and the media and NGOs in the US.
Bogdanovic thanked the Serbian Unity Congress on their engagement in presenting the situation and conditions in which Serbs and other non-Albanians in Kosovo live, adding that the Ministry will support this organisation in the future.
The meeting was attended by Congress representatives Mirjana Samardzija, Slavka Draskovic and Jasmina Bulanze.
