Bogdanovic reiterated that Serbia will never recognise Kosovo as an independent state.
The policy of the Serbian government on Kosovo remains dedicated to the principles of preserving territorial integrity and sovereignty of Serbia, Bogdanovic told Radio Contact Plus from Kosovska Mitrovica.
He added that the government is resolved to meet all issues concerning Kosovo-Metohija through the UN Security Council.
The Republic of Serbia has rejected all acts that are contrary to UN Security Council Resolution 1244 and has expressed concern because of the announced reconfiguration of UNMIK even without a UN Security Council decision, the Minister stressed.
Bogdanovic also expressed concern over the current situation in the province, adding that Serbia is forced to initiate dialogue with UNMIK on the future common implementation of Resolution 1244 in fundamentally changed conditions.
We are talking about two burning issues for the Serbian community – police and judiciary, as there is no freedom of movement in the province while human and civil rights are violated, said Bogdanovic.
Serbia respects all agreements signed with UNMIK and agrees to continue cooperation in order to find a commonly acceptable solution.
Otherwise expecting a sustainable peace and security in the province and the whole region would be unlikely, said Bogdanovic and added that Serbia wants to be constructive.
