According to the statement issued by the Ministry for Kosovo-Metohija, Bogdanovic stressed that maintaining peace is a priority in the province and it is necessary to clarify the incident which took place last night in Kosovska Mitrovica, in which four young Serb men were injured.
We will closely cooperate with UNMIK on the matter, said the Minister, and added that such incidents above all do harm to the Serbian community in the province and initiate unrest and uncertainty.
Therefore, I request UNMIK to do its duty which is to safeguard peace in Kosovo. Our goal is to improve the position of people in the southern province, to provide complete safety to the Serbian community which is most vulnerable, and to make it possible for displaced people to return, said Bogdanovic.
