Snezana Samardzic-Markovic
In a statement to the news agency Tanjug, Samardzic-Markovic said that the Fund for Young Talents made a decision at its first constitutive session to announce a competition for scholarships for up to 1000 best final year undergraduates studying at Serbian state universities.
In order to compete for the scholarship, students must be Serbian citizens or have refugee status that were admitted to a graduate studies programme at one of the universities in an EU country and finished their undergraduate studies at a state university in Serbia, explained Samardzic-Markovic.
The Minister added that postgraduates who wish to compete for a scholarship must have a degree from a state university in Serbia, a minimum average mark of 8.5 and should not be older than 26; for medical students the age limit is 28.
Both categories of students are obliged to work in Serbia for at least five years after finishing their studies abroad, said Samardzic-Markovic.
