Water supply problems in central Kosovo

The Serbian Ministry for Kosovo-Metohija stated today that it follows the situation on the ground concerning the problems in water supply in central Kosovo-Metohija, caused by water supply restrictions by the regional water supply system in Pristina.
The situation is especially alarming in Susica, Novi Badovac and parts of Gracanica, where over three hundred households have been without water for twenty days already.
In coordination with representatives of associations of the villages with water supply problems, proper institutions in the field, Vodovod water supply company from Gracanica and the fire brigade, the agreement was reached to increase the deliveries of water for technical use, while the problem of drinking water supply still remains.
The Coordinating Centre for Kosovo-Metohija, which works as part of the Ministry for Kosovo-Metohija, is taking necessary activities for securing project documentation and financing a project that would permanently solve the problem of water supply in the places in central Kosovo-Metohija, it is added in the statement.
