Mrkonjic, visited the works on the Beska bridge, said that Corridor 10 must be completed by 2010 because it can happen that Serbia remains without the most important European routes because Bulgaria and Romania are also building motorways.
He recalled that the construction of the Beska bridge started in September 2006 whereas the design project was approved in January 2008.
The Minister today also visited the works on the Novi Sad ring-road and said that this traffic artery will be finished by August 19, 2009.
This is a very important point on Corridor 10, on the Belgrade-Horgos motorway, he said and added that Intermost and Energoprojekt have a lot of international experience and can perform well and on time.
Mrkonjic also noted that the deadline expires tomorrow for the concessionaries Alpina and Porr to give their position on the Serbian government’s proposal on breach of concessions for the motorway Horgos-Pozega.
The Serbian government has a plan for the construction of the motorway if the concession agreement is terminated, the Minister said.
