Speaking on TV Most in Zvecan, Bogdanovic said that talks on return of Serbian policemen in the Kosovo Police Service (KPS) will be continued, and the issue of the functioning of judiciary in the north of the province will also be discussed.
We will once again convey our stance that Serbian members of the police force should not be under the chain of command of KPS in Pristina since this would mean indirect recognition of the self-declared state of Kosovo, said Bogdanovic.
He said that since February 17 when the Kosovo government unilaterally declared the province independent it is the institutions in Pristina that are parallel, not the Serbian institutions in Kosovo.
The Minister said that Serbian institutions in Kosovo-Metohija will be further strengthened and stressed that a coordination centre will be opened in Gracanica at the beginning of September to reassure Serbs living south of the Ibar River that the state has not forgotten them.
Bogdanovic said that it is possible that a sector for the return of internally displaced persons is opened by the Ministry for Kosovo-Metohija, adding that Serbia wants to find a sustainable solution for the return of refugees and displaced persons.
According to Bogdanovic, a request will be forwarded to the Serbian government to increase budgetary funds for Kosovo, but expenditure will be strictly controlled so that they are not misused.
