Ivanovic attended today the memorial service in the Church of the Holy Mother of God in Gorazdevac to commemorate the Serbian boys Pantelija Dakic (12) and Ivan Jovovic (19) who were killed five years ago near the Bistrica River.
Djordje Ugrenovic (20), Bogdan Bukumiric(14), Marko Bogicevic (12) and Dragana Srbljak (13) were wounded.
Albanian extremists who shot the children with automatic weapons while they were swimming in the river are still at large.
The tragedy and the murder of two Serb boys committed five years ago must not be forgotten just like the crimes in Staro Gracko, where 14 harvesters were killed, or in Podujevo, where a Nisexpres bus was blown up, must not be forgotten either, the State Secretary stressed.
According to Ivanovic, the international community should keep its promise and investigate not only the murders in Gorazdevac but all other murders in the southern province of Serbia.
We mention everywhere that those crimes were not investigated. People were killed just for being Serbs, Ivanovic said adding that the international community is now being tested in solving those crimes.
Gorazdevac is the largest Serb village in Metohija, where 850 Serbs remained to live. Until 1999, some 2,000 Serbs lived in Gorazdevac.
