“The international mission in Kosovo-Metohija should find the criminals who killed two and wounded four children five years ago in Gorazdevac, but also to investigate thousands of other crimes committed in the southern Serbian province.
The international peace-keeping mission is obliged to provide security, freedom of movement and living in line with civilisation standards for the citizens of Gorazdevac as well as to all citizens of Kosovo-Metohija. The solving of all crimes is the foundation of peace in the region.
The government of Serbia will improve living conditions for all Kosovo’s citizens wanting a peaceful and prosperous life. For that purpose, the government is setting aside substantial funds to start the process of return of over 200,000 displaced persons from Kosovo.
We will create conditions for sustainable return and survival of people in their homes. In doing so, we expect wider support by the international community, and in order to solve specific problems we will promote cooperation with UNMIK as the only legitimate peace-keeping force in Kosovo.
The activities of the Serbian government are geared towards the launch of small and medium-sized enterprises that will enable the people of Kosovo to make a living from their work.
The government of Serbia will not give up the diplomatic and legal battle for Kosovo-Metohija and will continue to provide substantial economic support to the citizens in the province," reads the statement of the Serbian Prime Minister.
