Serbian Minister of Infrastructure Milutin Mrkonjic announced today that the works on part of the Belgrade ring-road, from Orlovaca to Ostruznica, will be completed by October 1.

Mrkonjic told journalists during the visit to the construction site that funds amounting to RSD 2.2 billion have been provided.
The project should connect Western Europe with Greece and Turkey (E-75), as well as Europe with Romania (E-70), he explained.
The total funds from 2007 to 2011 amount to €542.8 million, of which the state will set aside €132.7 million.
The loan by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development will provide €55 million; the loan by the European Agency for Reconstruction will amount to €2 million, while the loan from the European Investment Bank should bring in €180 million.
