Minister for Kosovo-Metohija visits Kosovska Mitrovica

Serbian Minister for Kosovo-Metohija Goran Bogdanovic visited Kosovska Mitrovica today where he held a number of meetings in an effort to find solutions for problems faced by citizens in the southern Serbian province.
According to the statement issued by the Ministry for Kosovo-Metohija, the main topic of discussion at a meeting with judges from northern Kosovo was functioning of the judiciary.
Bogdanovic also held talks with head of the Prizren administrative district and municipal presidents of Strpce and Srbica about current problems in these municipalities and the Prizren District, as well as the Minister’s plan to visit these areas soon.
The Minister also met with commanders of the Kosovo Police Service and representatives of UNMIK customs, and listened to their problems which are of an objective nature. It was agreed that Bogdanovic should inform the Serbian government of these problems and efforts will be made to find systemic solutions.
The Minister began talks with UNMIK regional coordinator for Mitrovica Gerard Gallucci on status questions which pertain to the position of Serbs in the area, concludes the statement.
