Second shipment of Russian aid for Serb enclaves in Kosovo arrives

Serbian Assistant Minister for Kosovo-Metohija Zvonimir Stevic stated today that the second shipment of humanitarian aid sent by Russia for Serbs and other non-Albanians in Kosovo has arrived today afternoon at the Nikola Tesla Airport in Belgrade.
The aid shipment, worth $600,000, consists of medical devices, ultra sound scanners, incubators and other medical equipment which will be provided to the Serbian population in enclaves in Kosovo, Stevic said.
The aid will be distributed through the Red Cross of Kosovo-Metohija, he noted and added that priority will be given to equipping institutions offering adequate protection to local population, especially in isolated enclaves.
This assistance is of first-class importance and the Serbian people are thankful to the brotherly people of Russia, the Assistant Minister said.
Under orders by top level Russian authorities, the Russian Ministry of Civil Defence, Emergency Situations and Disaster Relief handed over the second shipment of aid to the Ministry for Kosovo-Metohija, Ministry of Health in the presence of representatives of the Russian Embassy to Belgrade.
