In a statement for the media, Cvetkovic said that respecting international law is one of the basic principles on which the new government has been formed and added that fulfilling obligations towards the Hague tribunal means that we respect our own laws as well as international law.
Serbia has taken a huge step and I call upon other Hague indictees to turn themselves in, which will be much better for them and for the Serbian nation, said the Prime Minister.
I also expect the Hague tribunal to be just and to treat all victims and criminals equally, said Cvetkovic.
According to Cvetkovic, respecting international law is a universal principle and if we abide by it we will be able to reach a point of reconciliation in the region, create conditions for a better life and finally be able to defend our territorial integrity and sovereignty since that too is based on international law.
