Serbian Prime Minister Mirko Cvetkovic stated today that the government at its session today adopted a privatisation strategy for Jat Airways, establishing tender terms for the sale of the national airline within a short period.

Cvetkovic told the press that a decision was made to ensure that Jat is freed of its part of debt and added that the government also looked into the issue of the strategic partnership between Kragujevac based Zastava and Italian Fiat.
He said that the government passed a Decree which will improve measures for attracting foreign direct investments in Serbia and which is of direct importance for the arrangement between Zastava and Fiat. He said that he hopes that an agreement will be signed with Fiat by the end of July.
