Compared to June 2007, retail prices went up by 14.9%.
Observed by groups, the greatest price increases in June this year were recorded in food and non-alcoholic beverages (3.9%), prices of transport services (3.9% due to an increase in the price of oil derivatives), clothing and footwear (0.5%) and the prices of services in restaurants and hotels (0.4% each).
The prices of other goods and services remained at almost the same level.
CPI COICOP represents a special retail prices index calculated according to the methodology harmonised with recommendations for retail prices index calculation in the EU (Harmonised Price Index).
CPI COICOP is defined as a measure of the average change in retail prices of goods and services used for personal consumption.
