Milosavljevic said that part of the programme includes abolition of charges for some patient categories and increasing the birth rate.
He said that the priorities are clinical centres in Belgrade, Nis, Novi Sad and Kragujevac, whose construction and reconstruction will be financed with a European Investment Bank loan.
He noted that safer protection of those most imperilled is among Ministry's priorities as well.
Speaking on transplantation of body organs, he said that one or two kidneys are transplanted in the Clinical Centre of Serbia every week, but the problem is that the transplant is not taken from dead people but from those living.
He expressed satisfaction with results achieved in the health sector and added that it takes time for some institutions such as the Medical Chamber or courts of honour to be fully functional.
The Minister pointed to the necessity of better partnership relations with the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Youth and Sports, Ministry of Social Policy, as well as with city and municipal services for social care so that more could be done for the Roma population.
