Speaking following the signing of the agreement, Stantic said that the donation is extremely important because health centres have started functioning independently and it is necessary that they have proper equipment and personnel.
He recalled that Japan is Serbia’s largest donor, particularly in the primary health care sector and noted that Japan has donated nearly €3 million to Serbia since 1999.
Nagai stressed that the aim of the project is to provide medical care to the local population and children of Majdanpek.
Fudulovic said that this donation will significantly improve service at the Majdanpek health centre .
The €60,000 donation will be used to procure an ambulance and medical equipment.
