Serbian President Boris Tadic will present Belgrade’s stance at the UN Security Council session today, at which UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon’s proposal on UNMIK reconfiguration will be discussed.
Tadic will advocate Serbia’s state policy which does not accept EULEX presence in its southern province without Security Council approval.
The Serbian delegation also includes Minister of Foreign Affairs Vuk Jeremic, who
prior to leaving for New York, said that any reconfiguration of the UN mission in Kosovo is unacceptable to Serbia if it is not confirmed by the highest UN body.
As announced, the UN Security Council session will be open to the public and will be held this afternoon.
Also attending the session will be President of the self-proclaimed Kosovo state Fatmir Sejdiu, though not in that capacity, as Kosovo is not an internationally recognised state or a UN member.
