The Serbian government adopted at today’s session the Decree on the adoption of the general plan for defence from floods for the period 2008–2013 and amendments to the Decree on the manner and conditions of settling obligations of privatisation subjects towards creditors.
It also decided to form a committee to propose solutions for the permanent disposal of radioactive waste and also accepted amendments to the founding act of the Mining Institute in Belgrade.
It agreed to close Serbian consulates in Graz, Austria, and Malmo, Sweden.
The government gave consent to the 2008 financial plan of the Committee for the Protection of Competition and to the sale of state capital of Vojvodina–Tehnopromet from Sremska Mitrovica.
By majority vote, president and members of the managing board of the Tanjug news agency were relieved of their duties. A journalist from Politika Nenad Stefanovic has been appointed acting president of the board of management.
Representative of the socially-owned capital of Politika Aleksandar Simic has been relieved from duty and Jovan Simic has been appointed acting representative in his stead.
