Serbian Minister of Health Tomica Milosavljevic opened yesterday the 16th doctors' congress the main topic of which is based on the latest World Health Organisation strategy "Health for All in the 21st Century" and its application in the Serbian health system.

Milosavljevic said that even today it is a challenge for doctors to keep people healthy and that Serbia is part of the big European family of professional doctors.
He however warned of early death that can be prevented by the early detection of diseases.
The four-day congress is divided into ten sessions at which experts from the country and abroad will hold lectures.
The opening was attended by WHO representative Matthias Wismar and WHO deputy chief for Serbia Melita Vujnovic.
