Speaking at an event marking the World No Tobacco Day in Belgrade’s Republic Square, Milosavljevic said that from 2000 to 2006, the number of smokers was reduced 6% and noted that this is not sufficient.
He said that citizens have become more aware of the importance of the fight against smoking for them and their families.
According to Milosavljevic, campaigns showing hazardous consequences of smoking not only for smokers but also for non-smokers need to be promoted.
The Minister also awarded Emir Kasumovic from Prijepolje a national award of RSD 36,500 who competed for the
“Quit and Win” award.
