Vukadinovic said following the signing of the agreement that employees at the penal-correctional centres in Lipljan and Gnjilane, who left their jobs after the unilateral declaration of independence by Kosovo, today received a decision regarding their status by the Serbian government.
According to Vukadinovic, the Serbian government has made decisions regarding a total of 74 penal-correctional centre employees – 59 from the establishment in Lipljan and 15 from the one in Gnjilane.
Serbia, in accordance with its obligations towards its citizens on its territory has done the least it could do, by providing a source of livelihood to these people, said Vukadinovic.
Workers’ representative Boban Petrovic expressed satisfaction because the demands of employees have been met, and said that this is proof that Serbia thinks of those who have stayed to live in Kosovo, and it is also the only way that Serbs can remain to live in Kosovo.
