Serbian delegation leaves SEECP

The Serbian delegation led by President Boris Tadic left the Summit of the South East European Cooperation Process (SEECP) in Pomorie in protest today because Skender Hyseni, who introduced himself as Kosovo foreign minister, was given the floor.

President Tadic and Minister of Foreign Affairs Vuk Jeremic will strongly protest to UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon because of the move made by UNMIK’s political director, who allowed Hyseni to speak.
The Serbian delegation had earlier warned that Hyseni cannot represent the southern Serbian province and that can be done only by an UNMIK representative.
In his address to summit participants this afternoon Serbian President Boris Tadic reiterated that Serbia will never recognise the unilaterally declared independence of the southern Serbian province.
