April retail prices up by 1.5% against March

The Serbian Statistics Office said today that retail prices in Serbia in April 2008 went up by 1.5% against the previous month.
Compared to April 2007, retail prices went up by 14.6%.
Observed by groups, the greatest price increases against March this year were recorded in food and non-alcoholic beverages (3.7%), prices of cultural services (1.9%) due to a TV subscription increase, clothing and footwear and the prices of services in restaurants and hotels (0.7% each).
The prices of other goods and services remained at almost the same level.
