According to the statement, the memorandum on the realisation of this greenfield investment was signed by Minister Mladjan Dinkic, Mayor of Kragujevac Veroljub Stevanovic and owner of Albon Engineering Larry Albon.
Dinkic said that the initial investment will be worth €40 million, and will create 420 new jobs. He added that the investment will be supported with funds from the National Investment Plan through a programme for encouraging direct investments in Serbia, being implemented by the Serbian Investment and Export Promotion Agency.
He said that the entire production will be exported, apart from the parts that will be produced for Fiat in Kragujevac, and added that this will support the development of the automobile industry in Serbia.
Following the arrival of Fiat in Kragujevac, we are creating a modern car industry in Serbia, with the latest equipment and world renowned producers, said the Minister.
The British company Albon Engineering, which produces car parts and is already doing business in Simanovci, is interested in building its new production factory for car parts in Kragujevac.
