Serbian Deputy Prime Minister Bozidar Djelic said today in Pirot that he will sign the Stabilisation and Association Agreement (SAA) with the EU the moment Serbia receives an invitation to sign it, but there is very little likelihood that this will happen before the May 11 elections.
Speaking at a press conference held following talks with head of the Pirot District Goran Stamenovic and businesspeople of the area, Djelic said that the Serbian government authorised him to sign the SAA, and the authorisation is not just permission, but also a legal obligation for him as a member of the government.
He recalled that in December last year, the Serbian government unanimously made a decision to sign the SAA.
