First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Siniša Mali and Minister of Domestic and Foreign Trade and Commissioner of Specialised Expo 2027 Jagoda Lazarević met today with Minister of Tourism of the Republic of San Marino Federico Pedini Amati to discuss the country’s potential participation in the upcoming Expo, which will be held in Belgrade next year.

The delegation from San Marino, which also included Director of the Tourism Department Filippo Francini and Special Secretary Alan Gasperoni, was presented with the potential of Expo 2027, its plans and the ways in which San Marino can showcase itself to the world while also becoming better acquainted with Serbia.
Mali stated that Serbia is building an entirely new city in Belgrade for the purposes of Expo, adding that 142 countries and international organisations have so far confirmed their participation in the event.
The interlocutors expressed confidence that Expo 2027 will provide an opportunity to further strengthen international partnerships and present innovative solutions that contribute to sustainable development and connect people around the world.
Bureau International des Expositions (BIE) Secretary General Dimitri Kerkentzes also took part in the meeting.
