Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Ivica Dačić stated today that, regarding the problems faced by citizens living in areas bordering the European Union that arose due to the implementation of the EU’s Entry/Exit System (EES), Serbia is resolving these issues at all levels and bilaterally.

Dačić said that he had spoken with Croatian Minister of the Interior Davor Božinović yesterday about resolving the problems of residents of the villages of Neštin and Vizić on the border with Croatia.
The introduction of the EU EES system, which began to be implemented several months ago, has brought certain problems not only to Serbian citizens but also to citizens of the entire region, Dačić said.
For people living near the EU border and who either pass through or go to work in EU countries every day, normal life and work are not possible under the restriction of a stay of only 180 days within a year.
Dačić emphasised that Serbian authorities, during talks with the authorities in Brussels, point out that these issues in Serbia are being resolved bilaterally, while assessing that this problem is not Serbia's problem and that it is not caused by its border authorities.
