Serbian Minister of Public Administration and Local Self-Government Milan Markovic delivered today to coordinators of municipalities Kosovska Kamenica, Vitina, Gnjilane, Stimlje and Obilic the decisions on allocation of financial assistance amounting to approximately RSD 12 million.
The allocated funds, which will be used for reconstruction of infrastructure and technical equipment for municipal administrations, are intended for projects which these municipalities competed for through the ministry’s public competition for allocation of funds collected from games of chance.
During his visit to the village of Gornje Kusce near Gnjilane, Markovic said that Serbia’s state policy concerning Kosovo-Metohija must be unique and same to all Serbs who live in the province.
He said that one of the major problems he was told about when he visited Kosovsko Pomoravlje today is that funds from the Ministry for Kosovo-Metohija are not reaching the addresses of the new coordinators appointed by the Serbian government, but that those funds are controlled by former coordinators.
Minister Markovic will visit today the villages of Koretiste and Plemetina, and he is accompanied by President of Zvezdara municipality Milan Popovic and a representative of the Savski Venac municipality.
