As announced, Tadic will address ambassadors from 15 UN Security Council member countries at the beginning of the session, after which it will continue behind closed doors.
Tadic will inform the most influential body of this international organisation that Serbia will never give up the fight to preserve its territorial integrity, but that it will remain open to the world and committed to EU integration.
At today’s UN Security Council session, Kosovo Prime Minister Hasim Thaci will represent the province, and also present will be Special Representative of UN Secretary General for Kosovo Joachim Ruecker.
During his stay in New York, Tadic will also meet with the UN Secretary General, South African Ambassador to UN Dumisani Kumalo, whose country is chairing the Security Council, and with the Chinese and Russian ambassadors to UN, Wang Guangya and Vitaly Churkin respectively.
