Serbian Minister of Health Tomica Milosavljevic officially opened the renovated services and wards at the Mother and Child Care Institute Dr Vukan Cupic in Belgrade.
The Minister said that the Health Ministry invested a total of €3.29 million through a loan from the European Investment Bank whereas RSD 11.69 million was set aside for equipment from the state budget in the previous three years.
He also noted that the Ministry invested €80,000 in the children ward for urinary dysfunctions.
The Minister also released into work a machine for destroying infective waste which can destroy nearly 400 kg of waste per day.
He announced that €7 million donated by the EU will be used to buy these devices for the whole country.
