Serbian Minister of Finance Mirko Cvetkovic said that the Serbian delegation in Washington asked representatives of the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to engage more and investment more funds in Serbia.
Cvetkovic told the Beta news agency following participation at the
IMF and World Bank spring meeting in Washington that the IMF and the World Bank were asked to invest more funds in Serbia which will bring fresh investments and create new jobs.
The Serbian delegation acted as a caretaker government and did not submit any formal requests, but informed IMF and World Bank officials that the new government will have another capacity after the elections, which they accepted with understanding, he added.
