Holders of first 204 new Serbian passports chosen

The Cabinet of the Serbian Deputy Prime Minister stated that the jury for the project “New Serbian passport – New Face of Serbia“ made a decision on first 204 holders of the new Serbian passport at a session held on April 3.
The action “New Serbian passport – New Face of Serbia“ was launched at the initiative of Serbian Deputy Prime Minister Bozidar Djelic, with the aim of promoting the new biometric travel document and real values of our society.
The jury comprised humanitarian Bojana Stepanovic, singer Zdravko Colic, businessman Dejan Ilic, scientist Miodrag Stojkovic, athlete Aleksandar Djordjevic and journalists Manojlo Vukotic and Bojan Brkic.
The jury decided to award the passports to Serbian citizens who have accomplished a worthy deed or are known for their professional excellence, results in education and recognition of Serbia in the world.
The first 204 passports will be handed out in May. An exhibition on Serbian passports in the 19th and 20th centuries will open on May 3 in the House of Parliament.
