“We have a project for Zastava underway, and I think we’ll soon find a solution very soon, just as the Serbian government had expected,” said Ilic, adding that the problems in Zastava are being addressed on the state level.
Recalling that the government has embarked on a serious project when it comes to Zastava and that Italian Fiat has written off a portion of the Serbian carmaker’s debt, Ilic said that Minister of International Economic Relations Predrag Bubalo is also fully involved in the program.
He also said that the government has received several studies on Zastava from potential partners, but added that those projects require bank guarantees.
