Bubalo said that transportation is an important link in the exportation of goods, while on the other hand it represents a source of income and new jobs, generates investments and provides support to other branches of the economy.
He said that last year the average age of vehicles transporting goods from Serbia internationally was 10, and internally between 15 and 20, which makes transportation costs higher and thus the costs of products as well.
According to him, the exchange of permits for transport with other countries depends on the quality of vehicles and that is why investments in the Serbian domestic commercial vehicle industry, which has more than a century long tradition, are very important.
Because of all that, this fair, which gathers 510 exhibitors from all over the world and which is one of the three world renowned specialised fairs for commercial vehicles from the list of the International Organization of Motor Vehicle Manufacturers (OICA), is of great importance.
"Beotruck 08" will last until April 5 and it will gather the world’s leading manufacturers of trucks, buses, carts and follow-up equipment for the car industry, as well as importers of commercial vehicles and equipment, and insurance and leasing companies.
The fair gathers commercial vehicle manufacturers from the Netherlands, Sweden, France, Italy, Germany, Spain, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Russia, the Ukraine, Lithuania, Turkey, Belarus, India, China, Korea, Japan and many other countries.
