Prorokovic said that constant repetition of these allegations and certain texts in Albanian press is in fact a way to find a justification and an excuse for the violence and brutality which took place on March 17.
He recalled that Belgrade insists on an international investigation of events that took place that day in Kosovska Mitrovica and noted that Moscow’s stance towards Kosovo-Metohija differs from that of Washington.
If you draw a parallel between the relations of different states toward Kosovo-Metohija, you will see that on the one hand, Moscow sent humanitarian aid to solve some social, humanitarian and economic issues, whereas on the other, Washington wants to send weapons, said Prorokovic.
Speaking about the relations between Belgrade and UNMIK, he said that the main obstacle is the different interpretation of UN Security Council Resolution 1244.
According to him, some states even use this resolution as the basis for the recognition of the province’s self-proclaimed independence, which is absolutely scandalous.
We must talk about how to interpret Resolution 1244 in order to prevent these things from happening said Prorokovic and reiterated that Serbia must use all democratic means to defend its territorial integrity.
