Jeremic to discuss Kosovo status with Indonesian officials

Serbian Minister of Foreign Affairs Vuk Jeremic announced that the main topic of today’s talks with top Indonesian officials in Jakarta will be the status of Kosovo-Metohija.

In a statement to the FoNet news agency, Jeremic pointed out that Indonesia is the largest Muslim country and one of the most important and most influential states in the Muslim world.
By cooperating closely with Indonesia, we succeeded in preventing the mass recognition of Kosovo independence by Muslim countries during the meeting of the Organisation of the Islamic Conference (OIC) in Senegal, recalled Jeremic.
He stressed that Belgrade will maintain close cooperation with Jakarta, both in the UN Security Council and the OIC.
While in Jakarta, Jeremic will meet with Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, Indonesian Parliament Speaker Agung Laksono and Foreign Minister Noer Hasan Wirajuda.
