Serbian Minister of Telecommunications and Information Society Aleksandra Smiljanic announced today that tenders for software that will allow the government to work paper-free, as well as electronic public procurements, will be announced in approximately a month’s time.
Smiljanic explained today that design projects from the group e-Serbia will provide high quality standards in public administration regardless of whether the relations between citizens and employees or meeting the needs of citizens are in question.
Minister without Portfolio in charge of the National Investment Plan (NIP) Dragan Djilas said that it would be better if ministers carried laptops instead of piles of papers at government sessions, adding that electronic public procurements will make the process more transparent and will also provide savings.
He announced greater support from NIP to this ministry as these and similar projects are the future of Serbia.
