Car and motor shows open at Belgrade fairgrounds

Serbian Minister of Trade and Services Predrag Bubalo opened today at the Belgrade fairgrounds the international fair “Bg Car Show 02” and “Motopassion”, featuring 455 exhibitors from 40 countries.

Bubalo said at the opening that the arrival of such a great number of exhibitors, including 15 premiere car shows, speaks volumes about the attractiveness of the Serbian market.
He recalled that 55,000 vehicles were purchased at the car show last year.
This year, 40 car brands at 34 stands will be showcased, while the Fiat 500, Alfa Romeo Brera, Citroen C5 and BMW X6 will make first time appearances.
The event will close on March 19 and will also showcase car prototypes that are expected to be produced in Debeljaca, which will become a centre for electric powered vehicles.
General sponsor of the fair is insurer Delta Generali. A sponsorship agreement for the next four years was signed today.
