Conclusions of European Commission evidence that EU does not accept Serbia’s recognised borders

Serbian Minister for Kosovo-Metohija Slobodan Samardzic said today that the conclusions drawn by the European Commission on the Western Balkans is another piece of evidence that the EU does not recognise Serbia in its internationally recognised borders.
Samardzic told the Tanjug news agency that the same document, however, clearly states that the EU accepts the illegally declared state of Kosovo as an accomplished fact.
The position taken by the EU on these two points, which the European Commission approves of in its conclusions, is the fundamental obstacle in the continuation of European integration for Serbia, a process which the country opted for several years ago, said the Minister for Kosovo-Metohija.
According to Samardzic, at this moment it is hard to imagine continuing this process unless the EU makes a shift in its policy towards Serbia and reassumes the stance taken when the Stabilisation and Association Agreement was agreed upon.
