Cvetkovic said that additional funds for the needs of beneficiaries in Kosovo-Metohija will be secured by redistribution of the budget’s existing funds, and stressed that there will be no tax hike because that would cause an increase in public spending and put pressure on the rate of inflation.
He said that there is an idea to make more efficient use of funds that are already being set aside for Kosovo, in cooperation with the Ministry for Kosovo-Metohija, and in that way additional funds would be secured.
The Minister of Finance said that RSD 42.7 billion covers the annual needs of some 83,700 beneficiaries in Kosovo-Metohija, of which a part goes to salaries, pensions for around 30,000 pensioners and social contributions.
