Following a meeting with directors of preschool establishments, primary and secondary schools in the area of Ranilug in Kosovo-Metohija, Loncar said that according to the ministry’s strategy, which is part of the Serbian government’s Action Plan, all educational institutions in the province are supposed to function normally, just as throughout Serbia.
He said that representatives of all schools in this part of Kosovsko Pomoravlje have accepted the support offered by the Serbian government which will be felt by parents and all the students living in the area.
The Ministry will ask for textbooks free of charge for students, and this decision by the government will be of great significance for students and their parents, said Loncar.
The Minister presented Serbian language and mathematics books to eighth grade students from Ranilug, and 200 books for school libraries in the area. He also presented a laptop computer to the director of the primary school 9 Maj in Kololec.
Today, Loncar also visited the off-campus department of the faculty of philosophy of the University of Pristina in Ranilug, as well as the off campus department of the Gnjilane school of further education for teacher training, also in Ranilug.
He said that the strategic goal of the Serbian government is to strengthen the University of Pristina with interim headquarters in Kosovska Mitrovica, and announced that he will hold a working meeting with the rectors and professors of the university, at which all existing problems and the ways for solving them will be examined.
He said that the Serbian government will respond with the law to every act of violence and continue fighting for Kosovo-Metohija to be returned within the constitutional and legal order of Serbia through a consistent and principled policy, in accordance with international law.
