The project which is titled "The preparation of elements and observation of the state of the environment for preparation of an environmental protection and sustainable development strategy for northern Kosovo", is valued at RSD 2.6 million, aims to evaluate and define the current state of the environment in northern Kosovo and suggest further guidelines for the preparation of an environmental protection and sustainable development strategy.
Dragin reiterated on this occasion that the Serbian government considers Kosovo-Metohija as an inalienable part of Serbia and that is why all programmes financed by the Ministry of Environmental Protection apply and will be applied in the southern Serbian province as well.
He also said that it is very important that all Serbian institutions in Kosovo-Metohija function as well as possible.
Raicevic said that professors from the Faculty of Technical Sciences will work on the implementation of the contract.
He said that the faculty’s professors and associates are taking part in the implementation of 20 projects financed by the Serbian ministries of environmental protection and science.
The Faculty of Technical Sciences at the University of Pristina, headquartered in the northern part of Kosovska Mitrovica, educates professionals for almost all industries, and professors are involved in the field of environmental protection.
